TURBO, Version 1.0 Instructions, Hints and Miscellaneous Stuff 10/01/87
o You are driving along a two-lane highway. To reach your destination,
you must pass slow-moving traffic while avoiding oncoming vehicles. If
you misjudge, a horrifying explosion will likely result.
o You receive points for driving (the faster, the more points you get!)
and a 250-point passing bonus is awarded for each vehicle passed.
o Use the SHIFT key like a throttle to accelerate (i.e., hold it down).
o When you reach top speed in first gear, upshift using the UP-ARROW key.
Down-shift with the DOWN-ARROW key.
o Steer using the LEFT-ARROW and RIGHT-ARROW keys to avoid traffic.
o Just type the arrow keys... there's no need to hold them down.
o There aren't any brakes! To slow down gently, release the throttle (the
SHIFT key). If in second gear, you can slow down instantly by down-
shifting (DOWN-ARROW key) while depressing the throttle button. This
will bring you down to first-gear redline in a hurry!
o An extra 60 seconds of playing time is awarded for each 10,000 points.
o Take a snapshot of your high score and send it to the address that
appears when you leave the game. I'll send the champ some free soft-
ware (nothing pirated, I promise).
